Barack's got no time for the masses

Barack Obama's stop in Tallahassee Friday is so brief his campaign isn't allowing him to talk to Florida media.
And no wonder: his campaign apparently thinks it's our fault that presidential races are all about the green.
"As we approach (the Saturday end of the fundraising quarter) the press and pundits start to obsess over the chase for money," Team Obama writes in a pitch for cash sent out Wednesday. "They value dollars more than people, and bottom lines more than ideas."
For the record, Obama shuttles in for a quick talk to the town's Democratic elite at the Challenger Discovery Center, then is whisked off to Jacksonville to pass the hat again. He spent last weekend in South Florida, and was expected to deposit $1 million-plus from the appearances.
Organizers for the Tallahassee fundraiser, namely City Commissioner Allan Katz, had once hoped to put him on a stage so local voters could see first-hand the upstart Illinois senator's main selling point: his stage presence.
Instead, the dollars will do the talking here.

Good luck figuring out how to buy a ticket or get invited to this fundraiser. I've seen several mentions of the event in the Tallahassee Democrat but there is nothing on the Florida Democratic Party Web site or even on Barack Obama's national campaign Web site. If the organizers really wanted the non-elite to attend, perhaps making the event information available to the average voter would be a good start.

The tickets are 100$ and there are still some left. Check the Challenger Space Center website for phone numbers.
